One gave us P15K out of pity but he thinks he has the right to talk to us in a degrading manner and thinks he has now the right to take charge of our son's lives. Another helps us in several ways but thinks she has noe the right to order my wife around and enslave us.
Another (a minister at that who have grown old in the ministry) hates us and treats us like dirt just because we have no money. He has forgotten that once upon a time he and his wife also started with zero but the Lord blessed them later so that now he has money.
And these are all "born again Christians." And they are continually blessed while we suffer, and also suffer at their hands. God gave us these people to ask help from and they've been treating us like garbage. It has been years and our sons seem to inherit this life from us. Why give us this lot in life? What for? Why do we see the arrogant get blessed and we continue to live in lack?
I've been praying to the Lord--grant us favor, by your grace, to have a good livelihood that will make us independent from arrogant people. I don't ask that God punish the arrogant--I don't care if they still get blessed as long as the Lord also blesses us enough so that we won't need to ask help from them. Is this too much to ask? God blesses the arrogant and then when it's our turn to ask favor, he finds it too much?
I don't believe what I ask for is too much. It's what justice--especially God's justice that I read in the bible--should be. I wait for the day when God will rescue us from the arrogant and cruel. We've been waiting for decades. But it seems our prayers fall on deaf ears. Why? I thought the humble gets God's favors.
We're not blessed enough so we have a lot of shortfalls in our family budget. I mean, great lack! My wife keeps on making advances in salary, my income online is so small (and thank God that I earn additional from my small ministry), and my son still has no work though we've been praying for it and he's been applying for work.
No answer--while the arrogant get all they want. One arrogant guy we know just keeps on bragging how he has lots and lots of money--and yet we see how cruel his character is. And just look at his great impatience and terrible temperament. Once, we were ordering cold dessert in an ice cream parlor (his treat) when suddenly he wanted to cause trouble and punch the waiters for not giving him enough of a particular dessert he wanted. He was so raving mad he wanted to punch all the waiters.
So, that moment I asked God, "Lord, do you see this guy's attitude? You see it, don't you? He's been like that for years--and unrepentant. And yet you bless him with lots of money. That's not the problem--the problem is, we believe so much in humility and yet you let us suffer lack and make us ask for help from people like this guy! Why? Is this the life you prepared for us? Is this our portion? What kind of life is this?
And yet, we still hold on to God and His Word. We still believe in meekness and in having the character of Jesus Christ in us, rejecting any form of self-pride and especially arrogance. We believe God is the great God of justice and fairness. What we believe will never change no matter the circumstances. But God, please bless us so we can be rescued from the wicked and solely depend on YOU for everything.
